CORE VALUES

Hello everyone,

I was speaking to a young women today and was told that she may be let go from her job. She was so upset and does not know what to do. As we spoke I advised her, that each day she goes to work give it 100% and do the very best she can.  I told her to thank God for being there to get food on the table for her family and to ask Him for guidance as she looks for a new job.

I would like everyone to please understand this. All companies say that "C.O.R.E." values are so important in their companies. Well, I am 49 years old and have had a few jobs in my life. I say this.... ALL Companies are into $$$ not CORE values.  Many have given employees more work, sometimes up to double the amount with no extra pay and expect employees to put in more and more hours for free. It is a different world today,  as many companies threaten employees that if you can not handle the increase of work we can find someone else to do the job. Many are forced to take work home and place their families on the back burner.  I say to these companies, "SHAME ON YOU."

Years back an employee may work for one company his/her whole life and retire from it. Now companies wait until your just about to retire and lay you off. CORE values mean nothing to many companies now a days. But, there are some outstanding companies still out there that value employees, employee's families, and employees health and I tip my hat to them. They take care of their employees and it shows.

Now, I say this to all of you in this tight spot.

1. Stay in faith.
2. You are not a loser you are blessed.
3. Please your faith in God and ask for guidance.
4. Pull yourself together and get your resume out there and another door will open.
5. Remember that God does not want you to fail but the enemy below does.
(Show him you are a child of God.)

Lastly, if you are in a job like this and fight each day to go to work.... You are in the image of God and have His love and light in you. Go to that job and do your very best each and every day. If someone talks down to you in your heart bless them. Remember that God love you and your family loves you.

Also remember that most of these companies are client based and depend on sales.... Hmmm, if I am correct, are we all not people that buy product from many of these companies. The companies should remember this, treat employees bad, fire them or lay them off and you lose a person or family that will no longer buy what you make... Also your ex-employees have friend that may not buy as well. Your move Companies!!!! Because at the end the companies lose

Most important is that you are a winner and a hero to your family.

Moment of weakness

St. Peter had a moment of weakness, where he denied Christ. It was foretold by Jesus that he would deny him three time before the rooster would crow. St. Peter promised that he would never deny him.  Jesus was correct and he was denied.

We are all not unlike St. Peter. When we run into times of strife, trouble and fear we turn within ourselves as our minds become clouded with confusion. It is important that we not run away from this fear but to understand it and overcome it.

St. Peter at the very end of his life was crucified. But he asked those who were to place him on the cross to place him upside down.  St. Peter said that he was not worthy of dying in the same manner as our savior.

Many people today deny Christ.... They think they have no need for Him.  Only when something goes wrong then they look to God. BUT if someone asks them if they go to church they think it's cool to say I don't go there, I am not a Jesus freak...

Hmm, are you not denying Christ?

When 9/11 happened so many started to go to church, many started reading the Bible and people from all over rebuilt their relationship with our Lord.

Hmm, what happened now? Are you denying Him again?

Only you and our Lord know.......................

April 1st, is Palm Sunday..... Rebuild your relationship........ Easter Sunday, share in His glory.

God Bless you all.................

Forgive

Hello Everyone,

When someone that you know or someone that you love shows disrespect to you what do you do?

 It is easy forgive them.

If the disrespect is daily what do you do?

 Forgive them.

 Matthew 18:21,22
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

But understand what I am saying to you. You don't have to stand there and be disrespected. Walk away or you may say something back. You may love them but you should not have to be a punching bag. Because you have known them for many years or love them as family you may not want to be by them all the time. Take some time away from them. You don't have to be so close to still love them.

God Bless,
Pastor Ken

Common Courtesy

With all the technology at our fingers today we need to remember to show common courtesy to others.
Things we should not do:

*Hands free use ONLY of cell phones while driving.
*NO Texting while driving.
*No loud talking when around people.
*There is NO need to talk on your cell phone in a doctor's office.
*If you are listening to music on your Ipod and those around you can hear it. TURN IT DOWN.

Things to try:

*While driving don't talk on the cell phone and get to your place of destination safely.
*Stop texting and write a letter. You will be surprised on who words are spelled. Not BFF, LOL, ROFL.....
*Respect others with keeping your voice down. That is the polite thing to do.
*Bring a book or pick up a magazine at the doctor's office.
*Music is wonderful but remember very loud music can be annoying to other not only that but may damage your ears.

In the world today many have a "It's all about me" mindset. That is the wrong way to think... Love, Respect, Help, others... The world would be so much better if everyone followed that. Say Please and Thank you...... Is that hard to do? The answer is so simple... "It is not hard at all."

Have a Blessed Day.......

Where is the World going?

Where is the World going?

On the news today, it is now legal to give the finger to someone in a town in the state of Missouri. A bad case of road rage took two men to court where one of the men who gave the other the hi sign was to be fined. So, he fought it and one! He argued that it was his right to free speech.

What is next? It is frowned upon to say as a Christian Merry Christmas, Other are trying to remove anything that says God. So let me guess it will be legal to spit on someone? Or to beat up your spouse? Or to rob someone? To cheat on your spouse? Is this all a part of expressing oneself? Give me a break! There is no one respect for others out there. We need to STOP this and take back our values.

Here are some great rules to follow in life:

The Ten Commandments
1. You shall have no other Gods but me.
2. You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
4. You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.
5. Respect your father and mother.
6. You must not kill.
7. You must not commit adultery.
8. You must not steal.
9. You must not give false evidence against your neighbor.
10. You must not be envious of your neighbor's goods. You shall not be envious of his house nor his wife, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Have a Blessed Day,

Being on Guard.....

Hello Everyone,
I was on the road today, and  as I was driving I was listening to the radio. Well on the norm I don't usually listen to rap but for some reason I let it on. The reason I bring this up is that in this rap song the artist was so disrespectful to women. I have heard many other song we listen to each day and I am shocked at the message they put out. Not only as adults but our children.

We know what we eat builds our bodies or destroys our bodies. It is simple, what we take in feeds us. If you eat all fats and sugars then your bodies will become ill but if we eat good wholesome foods we become strong. The same can be said for what we watch or listen to. Listening to songs about disrespecting women, Cop killing, sex, hurting others..is not what we should be feeding our minds. There is a wonderful singing artist that I love her music. Beyonce is an outstanding artist but when you listen to one of her songs that is on the radio now it may make you think. The song is called "Put A Ring On it."  A friend of mine's daughter who was 11 years old sand it in the house when I stopped over. What are trying to teach our children? Same with many movies and video games out there are filling our minds with trash making us inside sick and hardened to life. There is a video game out there called "Grand Theft Auto" which gives you points for stealing a car and even has a part where you may kill a cop. WOW.....

Is this what we want to teach our children? Is this what we want to fill our hearts and minds with? During this season of Lent lets us give us many of these hurtful things and fill our hearts, minds and souls with things that will fulfill us. God has given us so many wonderful things to experience in life but many just want to play video games, watch porn, do drugs, disrespect others, etc.... Don't let the enemy win.... Fill your life with love, hope and light not darkness, hate, and death.

Have a Blessed Day....

Lent Season

Today is Ash Wednesday which is the start of the Lent Season. Ash Wednesday is the first day of  Lent and occurs 46 days before Easter.
The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and  Luke,  Jesus spent 40 days fasting in the desert before the beginning of his public ministry during which he endured temptation by Satan. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of this 40-day liturgical period of prayer and fasting.

Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of placing ashes on the foreheads of adherents as a sign of mourning and repentance to God. The ashes used are typically gathered after the palms from the previous year's Palm Sunday are burned.

So to make it easy, this is a time of prayer, fasting and many give up things during this time. Things like bad habbits, certin foods, etc.... It starts with goes to church today and having the Clergy place black ashes on your forhead in the sign of a cross. No, don't wash them off until the end of the day. Make a commitment to God in doing the right thing during this season... You will feel wonderfil and fulfilled.

Have a Blessed day.
